Free of fossil fuels and releasing no new carbon dioxide into the atmosphere ‘Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil’ diesel is a ‘renewable diesel produced using sustainably sourced vegetable and animal matter. Its production does not negatively impact the environment.

​​The biofuel is produced by hydrotreatment of vegetable oils and animal fats, resulting in a premium quality fuel with a chemical structure almost identical to regular diesel. It can, therefore, fully replace fossil diesel. It can readily replace diesel fuel without any impact on the efficiency of your equipment.

GreenTECH Fuel distributes two TotalEnergies Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil products:

HVO100

​

​​HVO100 Renewable Diesel complies with the EN15940 specification and the standard for diesel fuels EN 590, except for the density, which is 7% lower. It works seamlessly on all modern diesel engines and has been approved by leading engine manufacturers of most heavy vehicles.

​

​​HVO100 delivers the same performance as regular diesel and can be used immediately without modification of engines or infrastructure. In addition, HVO100 has better combustion, filterability, and cold temperature resistance than other diesel products on the market. Many engineers view HVO100 as the best and easiest paraffinic option to help immediately reduce your carbon emissions.

HVO30

‘HVO30’ (as we are initially calling it) is a version of HVO100 developed specifically for blending with mineral diesel, reducing the total cost of using hydrotreated vegetable oils. It should be available in Australia in 2025.

SUPERCHARGING RESULTS 

​

HVO100 delivers a 4% to 5% reduction in tailpipe emissions and a 90% reduction in well-to-wheel emissions. Blending EPC+ with HVO100 can further reduce tailpipe emissions by 2% to 5%, delivering a total potential reduction in emissions of 6% to 10%. More….

GTF HVO Blending Kit (GFTH02)

Developed in Australia and soon to be exported worldwide, the GTF HVO Blending Kit facilitates the blending of HVO100 with standard diesel. Easily installed by a maintenance team, the GTF HVO Blending Kit blends to specification and provides a dashboard for customers to monitor the performance and benefits.

MONITOR – VERFIY – FACILITATE

 

GreenTECH Fuel works closely with customers to facilitate efficient monitoring of results, verification of return on investment, and the facilitation of savings

reporting to the relevant authorities.

​

The service, to be launched in June 2025, will leverage our:

 

• Blending kit to monitor the results from EPC+ and HVO100.

• Relationship with TotalEnergies and Empire ESG to verify return on investment.

• Relationship we are establishing with the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) to facilitate ACCUs.

GreenTECH Fuel is currently working with the CER to set minimum carbon saving on every litre of diesel containing EPC+ and every litre of HVO100, to agree and document a minimum saving of 3.3% while leaving the door open to claim 4 – 5% savings from the use of EPC+, for example.

 

Verifying the return on investment will reassure customers, the CER clients and senior management of customer needs.

 

The registration with the CER will empower XXX (customer)to create ACCUs:

• For sale – generating income.

• For surrender, add value to your offering.

• For retirement – providing an ESG transfer.

GOVERNMENT SUPPORT

Businesses introducing HVO100 into their business may be eligible for government assistance with implementing their renewable energy strategy.

 

Federal and state government agencies offer various grants and other support for projects contributing directly to the sustainable reduction of dependency on fossil fuels.
