WHAT IS EXCELLIUM?

Excellium Diesel is a premium fuel designed to clean diesel engines and keep them clean, providing longstanding protection that improves efficiency and economy while reducing pollution.

While TotalEnergies do not sell Excellium premium diesel in Australia, the concentrate used to upgrade standard diesel - Excellium Pro Concentrate – is available through Greentech Fuels.
​
Independent testing (ISO 9001) found diesel containing Excellium Pro Concentrate reduces fuel consumption and greenhouse emissions by up to 3.3%. (1) and other polluting emissions, such as particulates, by up to 60%.

HOW DOES EXCELLIUM WORK?
​
The premium fuel, Excellium Diesel, has been marketed by TotalEnergies worldwide since 2016. Businesses widely use it in the mining, transport, manufacturing, and agricultural sectors. The performance of Excellium diesel is evidenced by its ever-increasing sales.

The difference between Excellium diesel and standard diesel is – Excellium Pro Concentrate. In essence, the concentrate upgrades standard diesel to a premium diesel. The fuel quality is upgraded by upgrading standard diesel to premium diesel, reducing fuel consumption, emissions and engine wear.

WHEN SHOULD YOU ADD EXCELLIUM PRO CONCENTRATE TO THE FUEL?

​TotalEnergies recommends adding Excellium Pro Concentrate into the storage tank just before or as a new fuel delivery is being unloaded or into the equipment tank just before refuelling to get the best mixture.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR EXCELLIUM PRO CONCENTRATE TO BE EFFICIENT?
​
​The benefits of using Excellium Pro Concentrate start from the first tank filling. In relation to fuel efficiency and economy, the use of Excellium Pro Concentrate will bring you two different effects:

Cleaning existing deposits in the fuel system, injectors, and combustion chamber. (Clean-up effect)

The prevention of the formation of new deposits (Keep clean effect).
It is expected that it may take up to two or three months before seeing the full results and benefits available.
CAN I USE EXCELLIUM PRO CONCENTRATE TO TREAT BIODIESEL?

​Excellium Pro Concentrate will effectively treat all diesel fuel, even diesel with high amounts of bio-sourced bases. (FAME biodiesel).

The recommended treatment rate is set at 600 ppm vol./vol. ( .6L/1000L). This recommended treatment rate results from numerous engine tests done by TotalEnergies research teams to optimise the performance of Excellium Pro Concentrate. Therefore, we strongly recommend maintaining this recommended treatment rate.
​WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED TREATMENT RATE FOR EXCELLIUM PRO CONCENTRATE PLUS?
​
The recommended treatment rate is set at 600 ppm vol./vol. ( .7L/1000L). This recommended treatment rate results from numerous engine tests done by TotalEnergies research teams to optimise the performance of Excellium Pro Concentrate. Therefore, we strongly recommend maintaining this recommended treatment rate.
​
WHAT COULD BE THE CONSEQUENCES IN CASE OF UNDER OR OVERDOSING?
​
​There will be no harmful effect on the diesel and the engine if this treatment rate of 1l/1000l is not strictly respected.
In the case of under-dosing, the expected performances will not be achieved. In the case of overdosing (up to approximately three times), the impact is only increased cost.

WILL MY WARRANTY BE VOIDED BY USING EXCELLIUM PRO CONCENTRATE?
​
​Excellium Pro Concentrate does not modify diesel fuel properties; it is fully organic and does not contain any halogenated or metal-based compounds.

HOW HAS EXCELLIUM BEEN TESTED?
​
Excellium Pro Concentrate has been extensively tested against the standard industry protocols (ISO/ASTM laboratory tests and CEC engine tests)
This includes more than two years of research involving 5000 laboratory analyses, more than 900 hours of engine tests and 20 months of vehicle tests, completed by TotalEnergies and specialist independent ISO9001 consultants.
